Open the downloaded ZIP product file and drop the folder in it somewhere in your resources folder. Add your product key (get it here) to the settings.ini
file and add start BigDaddy-CTF
to your server.cfg
.
DO NOT RENAME THE FOLDER.
If you change the name of the folder it will not function correctly so leave the name as it is.
PolyZones is the only way to create capture zones at this time. Please download PolyZone from the link below.
There is a Teams.json
file where you can configure your teams. You can have up to SIX teams and as few as TWO. Follow the data format of the examples.
{
"id": 3,
"name": "GREEN",
"description": "Green Team"
}
ID's must be unique, i.e. you can not have 2 teams with
"id": 3
SETTING | DEFAULT | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|---|
usePolyZone | true | as of right now this is the only way to config a zone. leave it as true |
defaultTimeToCapture | 20 | How long it takes to capture a zone |
useAcePermission | true | for the reset score command |
acePermission | command | the ace permission to use for locking down the reset command |
COMMAND | ARGUMENTS | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|---|
/jointeam | teamname | Will join you to a team. Team names are defined in the Teams.json data file |
/scorecard | none | Shows the current scorecard for which teams own which capture points and which are uncontrolled |
/resetscore | none | resets all teams's score back to zeros (can be locked to an ace permission (above) |
You must join a team before you can capture any zones. Your current team name will display in the upper right corner of the screen in the color of your team or NO TEAM will display if you are not a member of any team.
When viewing the scorecard it stays on the screen for 10 seconds and then fades away. Next to the team name at the top of the columns is the number of players currently on that team. The team names also coincide with the color of the blips on the map of controlled capture zones. Each team has its own color.
When you are inside the zone, you are eligible to capture it. Your team must have more players than any other team to capture it. Even if it is owned by another team, if you have more players in the zone than they do, your team will start capturing it. There is a timer where you have to maintain majority numbers until that timer is done and then the zone is given to your team. Only one player on the team will see the timer on their screen. All players on the server will see the messages when a capture zone is taken.
You can switch teams at any time by using the /jointeam
command. Your captured zones stay with the team even if you move to another team. If you switch teams while in a zone, or teleport into a zone, you will need to leave the zone and re-enter it before you are actually counted as being inside the zone.
If you do not wish to run the waterworld edition, just don't add the other resources mention here.
To run the waterworld edition, you must install the other resources, water-world and [WaterworldFOBs] and [maps], into your resource folder and start them. water-world will flood San Andreas. The FOBs will load 11 custom zones with props and decorations for war.
WARNING
[maps] is where the spawn points are set and is usually located in the [gamemodes] folder within resources. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR CURRENT [maps] FOLDER SO YOU CAN PUT IT BACK AFTER. The version included here makes sure you spawn above water in custom Triage Zones (included in the ymaps above).
NOTE
If using the waterworld and you spawn in and there is no high water, just log out and back in. It just happens sometimes for some reason.
