HOW TO PLAY
/OpenBusiness brings up the form to enter a new business. Business name, description, and main phone are required; location and other phone numbers are optional. Once submitted, the listing appears in the directory and broadcasts to everyone on the server that you are open (if the ticker is not disabled by server admins).
Each ticker broadcast takes 30 seconds to complete. The server spaces broadcasts at least 35 seconds apart, so announcements can wait behind an existing broadcast. Disabling the ticker does not disable listings or directory access.
/businessdirectory or /bdir brings up the full directory of advertised businesses. Use Close business on your own listing to remove it when your business closes. Listings are announcements maintained by players; the script does not automatically detect whether a business is still open.
/businesslist or /blist toggles a compact directory that stays on screen while you play. It shows business names, locations, and main phone numbers and refreshes every 60 seconds. Run either command again to hide it.
Press Escape or use the close button to close the listing form or full directory.
Listings are stored in server memory and clear when the resource or server restarts. Disconnecting does not automatically remove them. The client also keeps its own list of businesses created during the current session, so deleting an earlier listing after reconnecting can fail even if a close button appears.
