EDITOR
The LALT key will toggle between MOUSE and GAME modes so you can move around while the editor is on the screen to see the effect from various angles.
The effects are really best viewed a little ways away. While in GAME mode you are invisible and invincible so fires won't burn you up. But you can fly around choose where to view from.
The effect will be previewed for you so you can place it. Be aware that these effects (especially fire) are not totally static (they spread and change a little sometimes) so it might look slightly different previewed than it does when fully saved. It should be close enough to place it and set it up the way you want. You will get used to the nuance after trying it a couple of times.
The parameters should be pretty self-explanatory.
